Frank Strong is the communications director with Business of Law Software Solutions (BLSS) a division of LexisNexis. In this capacity he directs communications strategy and execution in support of BLSS products including those for large law, small law and corporate counsel. With 15 years in experience in the marketing communications for the high-tech sector, Strong previously served as director of PR for Vocus, which develops marketing, PR and media monitoring software. He’s held multiple roles in PR both in-house with corporations, and has also endured the rigors of billable hours, having completed gigs at PR firms both large and small. A veteran with two deployments, Strong has concurrently served in uniform in reserve components of the military for 20 years, initially as an enlisted Marine and later as an Army officer. Strong holds a BA in Film and TV production from Worcester University, an M.A. in Public Communication from American University, and an M.B.A. from Marymount University.
As Director of Consulting and Services for Redwood Analytics at LexisNexis, Russ Haskin has been a trusted advisor to more than 200 law firms across the globe – from small practices to several members of the Am Law 10. He leads a team that consults with firm leadership on business of law topics that include process improvement, business analysis, and Redwood tools and methodology. In addition, Russ plays a key role in designing and implementing training and consulting programs. As an authority on the business of law, Russ is a recognized expert – as well as a featured presenter, panelist and moderator – on the subjects of matter management, alternative fee arrangements and profitability consulting. His research on legal management topics has been published by multiple journals, and Russ is frequently interviewed by authors and legal journalists alike. Additionally, he regularly shares his perspectives on the business of law as a primary contributor to LexisNexis blog sites. Prior to joining Redwood, Russ worked for more than seven years in Research and Project Analysis at two Fortune 500 companies. He earned an MBA from the University of Tennessee and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Richmond.
James Paterson is Senior Director of Product Line Management with responsibilities spanning software portfolios and product development teams. His contributions focused on mobile initiatives have equipped legal professionals with new ways of staying connected and managing practices from any location. He joined LexisNexis in 2008, bringing more than 12 years of experience in management consulting, business development and product line management gained through both international start-ups and Fortune 500 companies. James earned his MBA from The Fuqua School of Business at Duke University, and a B.S. degree in Retail Management from Loughborough University of Technology in the United Kingdom.
Mike Baldwin joined LexisNexis in 2012 as a Senior Product Manager for the InterAction team with initial responsibilities focused on bringing the InterAction Mobility solution to market. With more than 12 years of software product management and product marketing experience, Mike thrives on leveraging technologies and applications to solve real user problems in new and meaningful ways. Prior to LexisNexis, Mike established his software industry expertise through product management roles at Symantec Corporation covering both enterprise and consumer offerings. His initial involvement with high technology began at the start of his career while serving as a communications officer in the U.S. Army. Mike earned his MBA from Carnegie Mellon University, and has a BS degree from James Madison University.
Ted Seward is the senior marketing manager for LexisNexis CRM & Analytic software solutions InterAction, Redwood, and Atvantage. In this capacity he oversee all marketing branding and campaign initiatives for the products.
Krista Fuller is responsible for creating go-to-market strategies and programs that surround LexisNexis solutions for customer relationship management and business intelligence. In that role, she balances internal perspectives and outreach plans by working with clients, prospects and partners to gain a thorough understanding of the needs, priorities and issues affecting law firms. With more than 15 years of technology marketing experience, Krista has gained considerable expertise in product marketing, product management, market research and segmentation, branding, communications and public relations. Before joining LexisNexis, Krista served in business development and marketing leadership roles for various software companies in Research Triangle Park, NC. She is a former technology trainer turned marketer, and earned her bachelor’s degree from the College of William and Mary.
Although Audrey is new to her product management leadership position with the Redwood Analytics team, she brings years of experience to the role in software applications and detailed awareness of the issues impacting the legal market. Since joining LexisNexis in 2006, she has applied her skills toward software solutions focused on law firm practice management, integrated matter management and billing applications, the integration of content and legal workflows, and deploying Software as a Service. Prior to joining LexisNexis, she held a variety of product management and strategic planning roles for companies marketing content and software applications to Fortune 500 businesses, Am Law 100 firms, and other organizations on a global basis. Audrey earned an MPA in Data Management and an MBA in Innovation Management from North Carolina State University.
Derek Schutz is the Director of Programs for Redwood Analytics at LexisNexis. His focus is directed toward helping clients gain better understanding of their firm’s operations and profitability through the use of Business Intelligence, and leveraging that knowledge to develop solutions that improve performance. Prior to joining Redwood, Derek worked as a Financial Analyst in the construction industry and also as a Professional Hockey Player. He earned his B.S. degree in Business Administration/Finance from Virginia Commonwealth University.
Angela Petros is Vice President and Head of Marketing for LexisNexis Business of Law Software Solutions (BLSS) where she leads overall marketing strategy and execution across several lines of software products for corporate counsel, large law and small law. She is a senior marketing executive with a passion for growing businesses via a sharp focus on customer needs, competitive capabilities, creation of the ultimate value proposition for B2B customers, and excellence in channel execution via lead generation (SEO, PPC, email, direct marketing, social media) and conversion optimization (website, field sales support, nurturing via content management). Angela honed her strategic skill set as a Project Leader at the Boston Consulting Group focused on sales and marketing projects and leading the global strategy function for LexisNexis. Angela is a twelve year veteran of the legal industry with 5 years practicing as a Mergers and Acquisitions attorney at Herbert Smith Freehills and Mallesons King Wood and 7 years working for LexisNexis in their legal business. Angela has an honors degree in Law and a degree in Ancient History from the University of Western Australia and a MBA from Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern.
Rutger van der Wall is vice president and managing director for Large Law in the LexisNexis Business of Law Software Solutions group. In this role, he is responsible for software applications that deliver business intelligence, business development and relationship management capabilities to large law and professional services firms around the world. His ability to address the strategic and tactical business concerns of customers comes in part from a diverse career background comprised of domestic and international experience, exposure to established and emerging markets issues, and firsthand knowledge of solutions that address both the practice and the business of law.
Rutger advanced to his current position in 2011 after serving for four years as the company’s managing director of Benelux, Germany and Channels. Based in the Netherlands at that time, he focused on the LexisNexis content solutions product portfolio and supported customers in Europe, Russia, the Middle East and Latin America with direct sales and channel partner teams. Earlier in his career, Rutger was associated with both large and small European firms in various management, business development, and sales and marketing roles.
Toni Minick joined LexisNexis in 2005 and currently serves as Senior Product Manager for the company’s leading client relationship offering, InterAction. Her background in both product management and software user experiences spans more than 15 years, twelve of which have been focused on legal software solutions. From that knowledge base of customer understanding, Toni is committed to helping users address problems in simple and elegant ways. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from George Fox University.
As a senior trainer at LexisNexis, Maggie has worked with a large number of law firms and other professional services organizations. Prior to LexisNexis, she was a principal Microsoft instructor at New Horizons Computer Learning Centers and has served as a project manager and trainer in the call center industry. The combination of Maggie's people skills and technical aptitude is what has endeared her to many of her students. She has recently earned her Master's degree in Linguistics and in her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and traveling to new places.
Matt Thompson is head of CRM account management for LexisNexis and has served with the InterAction software team since 1997. With more than 20 years of software industry experience focused on technical communications and customer relationships, he has become a sought-after industry thought leader on how professional services firms leverage technology to enable business development initiatives. Matt earned his Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering from the University of Lowell (Massachusetts).
Wayne Joe is Director of Sales at LexisNexis and focused on delivering business intelligence and customer relationship management software solutions to the country’s largest law firms. He joined the company at the start of 2013, bringing 15 years of client-engagement experience in enterprise software applications and consulting services for corporate customers. For the past dozen years, Wayne supported the strategic clients of BMC Software with project management expertise and consulting services, as well as sales of the company’s business service management solutions. He earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration / marketing from the University of Wisconsin.
Michelle is a Senior Consultant with LexisNexis for the Redwood Analytics team. She is a training professional with 13 years of curriculum development experience and has expertise in the field of distance learning. Although Michelle has focused primarily on Redwood Analytics capabilities for most of her career with the company, she has spent the past several years working with law firms to help them achieve their business goals using a variety of LexisNexis software products. Michelle is a graduate of Villanova University, where she attained a B.S. in Economics with a minor in Finance. She is also certified as a Synchronous Learning Expert.
